Lithological textures
Library of lithological textures (BMP) used by the GeoStru desktop programs (Slope, LoadCap, Dynamic Probing, Static Probing, Stratigrapher, Liquiter…) to fill soil layers in cross-sections and borehole logs. The library is divided into cohesionless soils, cohesive soils, rocks, others and — new in 2026 — DIN 4023 / ISO 14688 patterns, the same catalogue used by the GeoStru NX web applications (Stratigrapher NX, GeoSection NX). Vector hatch patterns (.pat) are included as well.
Bundled with the 2026 releases. Since the 2026 versions the textures are installed together with each program (Textures folder next to the executable): no separate installation is required, and projects keep their textures when opened on another PC. Custom textures can be added simply by copying BMP files into %LOCALAPPDATA%\Geostru\Textures\<category>; a numbered file takes its description from the BMP_xx.FIL file of the same folder.
Older versions. Programs released before 2026 can download the package free of charge: installer (textures_geostru_2026_setup.exe) or zip archive (files only, including DIN 4023), then set the category folders in Preferences → Textures.
