Working Methodology

Those familiar with GeoStru software are aware that they have been interoperable for a long time: from survey processing to the geological and geotechnical model, and then continuing with the structural model. This allows GeoStru customers to collaborate without having to gather data from different, often unclear reports.

In the context of BIM, we have improved the interoperability technique by adopting standard transition files specified by BIM standards such as AGS and IFC. This enables collaboration among different parties involved in the design, not necessarily limited to GeoStru clients.

Enhanced Collaboration

BIM also signifies sharing and collaboration among professionals involved in a project. To facilitate the work of geotechnical engineers, geologists, architects, structural engineers, and monitoring studies, we have developed the shared platform GeoDropBox.

GeoDropBox allows for storing, viewing, and sharing project documents in real-time. GeoDropBox enables the visualization of IFC files and the creation and viewing of numerical models. GeoStru has integrated GeoDropBox into its software, meaning that files will be automatically geolocated and archived.

Integration with Geographical Data

In addition to the features described earlier, GeoDropBox will allow the management of geographical data such as maps, stratigraphy, surveys, and other spatial information related to buildings and structures in general. GeoDropBox enables the integration of BIM and GIS to link geographic data to the structure for comprehensive informational management on structures and projects overall.

The new software on soil nailing!

Coming in December: Soil Nailing Analysis GSAS, the software for analyzing slopes or excavation fronts reinforced using the soil nailing technique. It allows for conducting all the necessary checks, considering the different excavation phases, even following the current regulatory approach.

Incorporated in Slope: naturalistic engineering works and American regulations.

The latest update of Slope Stability Analysis - Slope software has brought significant innovations, including the incorporation of the American standard AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications. In the MRE module of Slope, for the design and verification of Reinforced Earth, naturalistic engineering works have been implemented, including double-row pile structures. We shall discuss this in a dedicated article.
