Regional parameters can be directly entered by the user or come from the database provided with the application, in which values are pre-entered for the different zones of the Italian territory as defined by VA.PI reports.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Pluviomentric probability curves<\/strong><br \/>\nThe calculation of the pluviometric probability curve is carried out automatically by the program, once the return period is fixed, from probabilistic processing. In addition to this mode of operation, it is possible to directly enter the coefficients of the pluviometric probability curve or the points (duration, rainfall height) that you want to interpolate through the curve.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Pluviograms<\/strong><br \/>\nThe input rainfall for the inflow-deflows transformation model can be either a synthetic design pluviogram or an observed pluviogram, thus allowing the reconstruction of actual events. In the former case, the pluviogram is defined by fixing its total duration, discretization interval and peak location, chosen from predefined types or freely entered by the user.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Inflow-deflows transformation<\/strong><br \/>\nThe simulation of flood outflows on natural basins is addressed by means of the SCS-CN hydrological model, proposed by the Soil Conservation Service, which can simulate surface runoff at assigned precipitation.<br \/>\nRegarding the inflow-deflow transformation, the process is addressed by decomposing it into two steps, concerning the determination of net precipitation and the transformation of net precipitation into surface runoff.<br \/>\nNet precipitation is calculated by the Curve Number (CN) method, proposed by the SCS, as a function of the CN index between 0 and 100, which is a function of soil type, land use and antecedent moisture conditions.<br \/>\nThe inflow-deflow transformation is obtained by convolution integral, starting from the net pluviogram and the SCS UHI.<br \/>\nThe program makes it possible to obtain the resulting hydrogram in real-time, with an indication of the maximum flow rate of the peak time, the total duration of the event of the volumes inflowed and outflowed, the efflux coefficient and the udometric coefficient.
